I remember we had to modify the driver to use small blocks of data because the 5xxx models have a small buffer. I think the 5300 printer is one of the earliest models. If the ESP 5200 driver works that would look likely.Ģ. Perhaps I made some mistake in the 5300 driver. I can think of the following possible causes of problems.ġ. The image generating part should be identical.
Or you could could try the 5100 or 5500 But the only difference between all those an the 5300 driver should be the available options like WiFi, duplex, etc. You could try other drivers, I'd suggest you try the ESP 5200 driver since I know that works. Since the ubuntu test page printed, the driver is basically working. It is unlikely that the problem is simply the driver.
